So, about the Ligerlings…

…a few things:

1) They’re an April Fool’s gag.
2) I didn’t think of them six years ago. They were inspired by the Gibberlings of Allods Online.
3) Bahamut and I never quarreled over them, and they weren’t the reason for the end of Chiaroscuro or Necromundus.

But it was interesting to see the feelers going out for people who wanted to apply for these new characters!

The Ligerlings themselves were probably the best part of the gag. I think I said last night: “The requirements are bogus, but the Ligerlings are really no crazier than anything else on OS.”

Bahamut and I talked it over in advance – we both agreed that the gag had to seem probable to fly. 🙂

The non verbal communication only made me suspicious, since it’s hard to do well and easy to do badly.

Yeah. The Morse code blinking, for example, is something I lifted from RP that I did as Brody back on TOS TrekMUSE – the character had been paralyzed in an accident, could only communicate via blinking.

Wes Platt :…the character had been paralyzed in an accident, and could only communicate via blinking.

Which translated to: “why hasn’t medical science reached the point where this shouldn’t be happening?” >:3
